Nusa Penida is one of Indonesia’s most rewarding diving destinations. Healthy coral reefs, dramatic underwater landscapes and an exceptional diversity of marine life attract divers from around the world throughout the year.

Manta rays are seen on most visits to Manta Point, while the famous oceanic sunfish, or mola mola, arrive during the summer, when the water is colder. Turtles are common, reef sharks are regular sightings and every dive site offers something different.

Healthy coral reefs support one of Bali’s richest marine ecosystems.

Large schools of reef fish, turtles, octopus, nudibranchs and countless smaller reef species can be found throughout the island, while manta rays are encountered on most trips to Manta Point.

During the colder months, Nusa Penida becomes one of the world’s best places to dive with the oceanic sunfish, or mola mola. Reef sharks are also regular visitors to several of the island’s dive sites.

Our boats depart directly from the beach in front of the dive centre, giving quick access to the island’s dive sites.

Most days include two morning dives. One boat usually heads towards Manta Point, while the other follows an alternative itinerary for divers who prefer reefs, drift dives or different underwater landscapes.

Many locations are appropriate for Open Water Divers when sea conditions are favourable, while others are better suited to Advanced Open Water Divers and experienced divers because of depth, stronger currents or more demanding navigation.

questions.

Do I need to be certified to join a fun dive?

Yes. Fun dives are for certified divers (PADI, SSI or equivalent). If you’re not certified yet, you can take our PADI Open Water course in 3 days and then join the fun dives.

What’s included in the price?

Every fun dive includes your boat, an experienced guide, tanks and weights, full equipment rental (mask, fins, wetsuit, BCD & regulator) and lunch on diving days. Optional extras: a dive computer or a 15-litre tank, each 150,000 IDR.

How deep will we go?

Maximum depth is matched to your certification, up to 18m for Open Water divers and up to 30m for Advanced divers. Your guide always plans the dive around the group.

It’s been a while since my last dive, is that ok?

No problem. Just let us know in advance and we can arrange a refresher so you feel comfortable before diving the deeper or more current-exposed sites.

Will I see manta rays?

Manta rays live around Nusa Penida year-round and Manta Point is one of our most-visited sites. Sightings are very common but, as with all wildlife, can never be fully guaranteed.

Are you going to Manta Point?

Yes, we run daily trips to Manta Point whenever sea conditions allow, and it’s one of our most popular dives. One of our two boats usually heads there each morning.

Do you offer 3 dives?

Yes. For a minimum of two divers we offer an optional third dive in the afternoon, letting you reach sites that often show their best character later in the tidal cycle.

Do you go somewhere that is NOT Manta Point?

Absolutely. We run two boats with different itineraries every day, so if mantas aren’t your priority you can explore reefs, drift dives, walls and other dive sites around the island.
